Have you ever thought about going Vegan but weren’t sure where to start?

Veganism is growing. Did you know there are approximately 79 million vegans RIGHT NOW! how cool is that? How many vegans are there in the world? As of January 2021, approximately 79 million. While veganism is growing, it still covers only 1% of the global population. But if the diet keeps its steady growth rate, it’s predicted to increase to one in 10 people within the next 10 years.

Whether motivated by health, environmental, or ethical reasons, the number of vegans in the US and everywhere around the world is steadily increasing. Regardless of the reasoning behind why a person may choose to go vegan, the population alone is evidence enough that veganism is more than just a trend. It’s a way of life, and statistics suggest it is here to stay.

The American plant-based population has reached new heights in 2022. People have begun changing their perspectives on the meat industry and how it affects animals, people, and the planet. Businesses from every sector are making vegan products more accessible than ever. The plant-based food industry is booming as thousands of new menu options drop every year. Read more HERE

Right now, there are about 9.7 million people in the US following a vegetarian-based diet.

84% of vegetarians/vegans abandon their diet. Extrapolated out, that means that there are 8 million lapsed vegans as opposed to the 1.6 million current vegans.

Only about one-in-eight Americans has ever considered themselves vegetarian/vegan. Roughly 88 percent of Americans have always considered themselves omnivorous/carnivorous. Read more here
